Sketchbook: Colour theory and swatches

I wanted to learn more about the nature of colours and how they effect my designs. I therefore decided to utilise the colour cards I ‘borrowed’ from B&Q and create a colour wheel and a range of patterns, denoting the nature of the colours used.

I choose to create  an exstensive collection of repeatable colours to lend my 3D modelling consistency. This is great because when I’m choosing to colour my work I can flip back and find a wide resource to choose from.

Having gathered these I applied them to two existing models (kettle and toaster) to see how they appeared in the CAD program.
